Module 1: COPD 101
COPD is a common and treatable chronic inflammatory lung disease characterised by limited airflow.
This module provides you with a solid foundation for understanding COPD, including its causes, clinical characteristics, and multiple comorbidities, as well as highlighting the significance of having a long-term treatment plan. In addition, you will be provided with advice and strategies for how to get the most out of consultations with your patients.

Module 2: How to do a COPD review
Conducting a regular COPD review with your patient is vital for monitoring their disease progression, assessing treatment, and ensuring patient well-being.

Module 5: COPD inhalers
It is essential that you are knowledgeable about the various kinds of inhalers for your COPD patients. This module will teach you about selecting the best inhaler for your patient, and popular inhaler types.
Through our teaching materials, you will also gain insight into the correct inhaler technique, which you can then demonstrate to your COPD patients to help them manage and control their symptoms and reduce exacerbation risk.

Module 6: Environmental impact of inhalers
Did you know that approximately 13% of greenhouse emissions from primary care come from inhalers? As such, it is imperative to determine how we can lower these emissions.
This concluding COPD educational module, which includes a video from expert Dr Matthew Sawyer, teaches you about the environmental effects of inhalers and suggested conversations with your patients about reducing their inhaler-related carbon footprint through proper inhaler technique and correct inhaler disposal.
